The concept for this book was originally published in the New York Times Magazine as a single, 7-minute exercise set. After two years of using the same exercises, it was getting pretty boring, and then this book came along. 50 different cross-training exercise sets that require no special equipment. Do one, and you feel like you worked out. Do two, and you're sweating. Do three and you're drenched. Even that it only a 21 minute workout. This has been my only regimen for over ten years, and it really keeps you fit-even at 71.

I found this book helpful. I disagree with another review stating that you already have to be fit to do the workouts in the book: this is false. The entire point of the book, as mentioned in the beginning pages, is that you can tailor each individual workout to your own fitness level. The only complaint I have, and it's a minor one, is that I wish there were more "floor exercises."I live in a second floor apartment and was hoping to be able to do all of the workouts in my living room since I have a new baby at home. A lot of the sequences have a few jump routines, so unfortunately I cannot do them inside or it would sound like a herd of elephants to my downstairs neighbors. It isn't a deal breaker, I just go outside, but just thought I would mention it for those of you who don't have that option. Just like any workout book, it is only as effective as you choose to make it, though this is a nice starting point for a decent price.

Who doesn't have 7 minutes? Bought this for my fit-crazy friend who has a personal trainer, and for myself, a couch potato. We both love it! Several 7-minute workouts anyone can fit into their day. Keep it simple and keep it varied. Recommend highly!

All I did was leave it on the table, and my husband saw it and said, "Oh good god, we have to do this now, too?!"
"SEVEN MINUTES!" I said. "Seven minutes will not kill you!"
"Seven minutes without air will kill you!"
So I threw the book at him. He quickly realized his mistake, and started on page 1. He has been exercising non-stop and now has abs of steel.

I still have buns of cinnamon, and have no intention of changing.

In related news, it's possible I hallucinated all of that. I've been trapped in my house with my family for over a week, and instead of following any of the exercises int eh book (Which we SHOULD do! They look excellent!) We have all turned into slugs. "Anytime, anywhere", alas, means, "Later, somewhere else." And that's okay. Because someday we WILL do these exercises.

    Honest.

I was shipped a book that I thought was new, however, the sticker on the book said used. I wondered because the cover had a 2” tear upon receipt. Extremely disappointed by the misrepresentation. Book is being returned. Bush league transaction

5.0 out of 5 stars Great little book.

Been using this little book for a week now and I think this really might be the exercise regime I'll stick to. 30 second intervals mean you don't get bored as you are constantly monitoring the time, takes all your concentration. I also do it in front of the TV which can be another distraction. I've been doing the 3 circuit session which takes 20mins and I barely notice the time going by. You can just do one circuit for 7mins or as many as you please. There are loads of circuits to mix and match, so you can keep changing things. I love it.
