    The Quick & Easy Paleo Cookbook is a delightful mixture of fun, creative and delicious recipes. This cookbook is based on the that by eating natural, non-processed and non-genetically altered foods our digestive system can metabolize foods more efficiently. In the process our immune system will be strengthened helping to prevent disease and the process of losing weight becomes easier. Additional benefits are decreased blood pressure and the prevention of heart disease. The recipes are designed to be quick, usually 30 minutes or less, and the ingredients can be found at reasonable prices in any well stocked supermarket. Included in this cookbook are meals for any time of day as well as healthy snacks. The Quick & Easy Paleo Cookbook deserves to be in any cook's library.

    This book offers 77 ways to get healthy, lose weight and find yourself habitually consuming delicious, enjoyable meals; they are called: recipes.  The Paleo Diet itself is guided by the notion that many diseases that afflict us in modern times result from the advent of animal husbandry, grain cultivation and food processing techniques.  Thus, an extension of the diet's premise is that human biological evolution has not kept pace with technology, and our bodies are unable to thwart the negative effects of modernization.  There is good introductory material in this book and an explication of its means and methods.  The 77 recipes offer up a dazzling selection of nature's bounty and includes an array from all areas of the Earth's biota, including shopping tips for everything from breakfast to dinner to lunch and snacks. For an early morning repast there are blueberries galore with a very berry coconut smoothie and almond blueberry muffins. Snacks consist of kale, cauliflower fritters, and Paleo cauliflower “popcorn.” For the carnivore there are Tortilla-less chicken enchiladas, spicy Chinese beef in lettuce cups and spiced lamb kebobs. Ending a day’s menu for snacks one can find spiced apple pie bites and broiled figs with caramel. Whatever your reasons for looking into this book, the explanations are simple and concise and understandable, with recipes that are succulent and rewarding. Go ahead and embrace your inner Homo erectus!

    The Quick and Easy Paleo Cookbook is a fantastic book for both the novice and experienced Paleo cook. The beginning provides a very clear and precise rundown of the Paleo diet, including the benefits and the difficulties of eating that way. The lists make it very clear for the person who is new to Paleo, what foods are allowed and which ones are not. The recipes in the cookbook are simple and indeed quick. None of the ingredients are difficult to find, which makes the recipes easily accessible. Included in the book are recipes for things that Paleo people miss, like pancakes, crackers, and risotto. I am so happy I found this cookbook! It is a really great addition to my cookbook library.

    Yes, I know. I said the same thing when I read it. The paleo gods actually went to the extent of replicating one of life’s greatest treasures, cheese. I’ll get back to this in a minute.
    From initial glance, this book doesn’t stand out among the many paleo-cookbooks on the shelf except for the words “quick and easy” on the cover. Time is precious, so we all could afford to save as much of it as we can. That’s one of the reason this tiny little book is actually giant in heart!

    In support of my original comment on time, this book states it provides recipes that are quick and easy. To test its claim, I rapidly and easily made a delicious ‘Tom Ka Gai” that would revival anything from a Thai restaurant. The best part about it is that I was done from start to finish in 23 minutes! So, kudos in the speed department.

    It also delivers a surprising education on Paleo eating in just a few short pages, another plus. There’s a complete list of Paleo-friendly and unfriendly foods which is very handy. This makes for a quick flight through the market. I was actually shocked to learn something about the Paleo diet that I thought I ignorantly knew. I won’t tell you what it is lest I make a fool of myself. However, I walked away an informed eater without feeling stuffed with superfluous babbling.

    The last point I want to touch on is the thorough collection of recipes. The writers took their time analyzing and collecting this batch. I even think they went to the extent of trying to please even the pickiest of eaters, hence the cashew cheese. For most people it’s hard to give up cheese and evidently, the writers have found a work around for that. I haven’t tried this “cashew cheese”, but if it’s a fraction as good as the Tom Ka Gai, I’m game! This little cookbook is a gem.

    This is an uncomplicated but informative introduction to the paleo diet. The book is divided into two sections; the first an introduction to the paleo diet and valuable time/money saving tips, and the actual recipes. I found the book somewhat contradictory and flipped back and forth between the intro and the recipes. It states no oils, but there is liberal use of cooking spray oil; no processed meats, but nearly a pound of bacon is called for in one recipe. I'd also like to see the claims substantiated (a lot of can, could, probably used). There is no doubt however, that eating fresher, less produced foods will only benefit us. And the recipes are fast, fresh, flavourful and fun. The cocktail meatballs recipe rocks.
