I ordered a 16 pack of kids chocolate chip Rx bars. According to the product description they should be 33 grams and 7 grams of protein. I received a 12 pack of adult size bars that are 52 grams and 12 grams of protein. I'm not sure why you thought this was an ok substitute.

    Flavor is... eh? But I'm the kind of person who eats my initial delicious breakfast bar and then three more, so I needed this to be a little but not great-tasting. It gets nutrition in, and then I feel a little depressed about the flavor, but it gets the job done. Plus, they were cheaper than at the supermarket. I really like the model of the company as far as basic ingredients go. Some of my friends LOVE these.

    My 2 year old is an incredibly picky eater. I've tried so many approaches and searched for nutrient-packed and/or healthy things so I can feel halfway comfortable that he's fueling his body with decent stuff. I ordered the chocolate chip bars on a whim, almost certain that he'd push it away like he does with everything else, but he LOVES them! It's the perfect snack when we're out and about, and if I can't get him to eat breakfast, I know that (at least) he'll eat this. It's been such a hit that I've hesitated to try other flavors, but perhaps I'll give it a whirl!

    These were the highest rated bars in some article about snack bars for kids. They are allegedly chocolate chip flavored but you’d never know that from the taste. It’s in no way chocolate chip tasting and actually kinda bitter at times. I can’t imagine trying to get a kid to eat these. I don’t want to waste them because they weren’t cheap but I can barely force them down.

    If your kids were raised with little to no sugar, these might be quite tasty for them. If you're trying to transition your kids to a healthier lifestyle, these probably won't work as substitutes. I tried one and wasn't thrilled with the texture or the taste. I'd eat it if I were starving. Keep in mind that they are very hard/sticky, too. My daughter definitely can't eat them as she has braces. My 9-year-old had difficulty chewing the small bite he took. They'll give your jaw a workout.
